Wounded Warrior Project
The Wounded Warrior Project stands as a cause Adon Burrell Racing is proud to get behind. As the nation’s leading veterans service organization, Wounded Warrior Project is dedicated to the total well-being of post-9/11 wounded, ill, and injured veterans and the families who stand beside them. Through programs spanning mental wellness, physical health, peer support, VA benefits assistance, adaptive sports, career transition, and family services, the organization meets warriors wherever they are in their recovery and walks with them for a lifetime, changing the way our country cares for those who answered the call.
For Adon Burrell Racing, getting behind Wounded Warrior Project means using our platform at the track and in the community to lift up the men and women who came home carrying wounds both seen and unseen, share the stories of warriors finding purpose on the other side of service, and help drive the resources that put them on the path to healing. Their fight didn’t end when they took off the uniform, and ours is to make sure they never have to walk that road alone.
Tunnel To Towers Foundation
Few causes carry the weight of remembrance and service the way the Tunnel to Towers Foundation does, which is why it means so much to Adon Burrell Racing. Founded in memory of FDNY firefighter Stephen Siller, who strapped on sixty pounds of gear and ran through the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel toward the burning Twin Towers on September 11, 2001, the foundation exists to honor that sacrifice by caring for the heroes who continue to put themselves in harm’s way. Their work delivers mortgage-free smart homes to catastrophically injured service members and first responders, places Gold Star and fallen first responder families with young children into homes of their own, and provides housing and wraparound support to veterans facing homelessness.
We carry that mission with us every time we roll into the paddock. Standing behind Tunnel to Towers is a way to keep the promise to “Never Forget” alive in front of new audiences, to point fans toward the families and heroes the foundation serves, and to channel the energy of race day into something that outlasts the checkered flag. The men and women this foundation lifts up gave more than most will ever be asked to give, and Adon Burrell Racing is proud to stand with the organization keeping that debt of gratitude paid forward.
American Legion | Be the One
The American Legion’s Be the One initiative is a cause Adon Burrell Racing stands behind with deep respect and gratitude. Be the One is the American Legion’s mission to reduce the number of veterans and servicemembers who die by suicide. The initiative leads the effort to reduce the stigma associated with mental health treatment, encouraging open conversation, checking in on those who served, and making sure no veteran feels they are struggling alone.
Our team is proud to stand with the men and women who have worn the uniform, and to amplify Be the One’s message wherever the racing community gathers. Whether at the track, at events, or through conversations with fans, we want every veteran to know they are seen, valued, and never alone. If our involvement helps one servicemember pick up the phone, talk to a friend, or reach out for help, that’s a victory bigger than anything we could earn on race day.
Project Purple | Steps for a Cure
Project Purple is a cause that’s close to the heart of Adon Burrell Racing. Project Purple is a nonprofit dedicated to creating a world without pancreatic cancer through research for early detection and curative treatments, patient financial aid, and unwavering support for the families walking through one of the most difficult diagnoses they will ever face. The organization leads the fight by funding groundbreaking research, easing the financial burden on patients in treatment, and standing alongside survivors and caregivers every step of the way.
For Adon Burrell Racing, supporting Project Purple means using our platform at the track and in the community to raise awareness, share the stories of patients and survivors, and help fuel the research and resources that bring hope to families facing pancreatic cancer. Their work honors those still fighting, remembers those we’ve lost, and moves us closer to a future where no family has to hear this diagnosis.
